Timber garden buildings deliver the warmth, character and long-term reliability that only natural wood can provide. Whether used as a creative studio, quiet home office, hobby space or flexible family room, these structures blend functionality with timeless appeal. Solid or engineered timber offers excellent breathability, insulation and structural integrity, creating spaces that feel as good to use as they look.
Unlike synthetic options, timber buildings evolve with age, developing unique tones and textures. They also allow for greater design freedom, supporting custom layouts, sustainable construction and a connection to the garden that’s hard to replicate with other materials.

Timber (or wood) garden buildings are designed to complement the outdoor environment, with materials that offer both practical and aesthetic benefits. Whether you’re building a calm space to work, a garden retreat, or a small studio for clients, the natural beauty of timber creates an inviting, tactile interior that feels like a true extension of your home. These rooms suit a wide range of purposes and give you the flexibility to design a space that works for your lifestyle.
At Noah, we handcraft timber buildings using sustainably sourced wood and expert joinery, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern requirements.

At Noah Garden Rooms, we design and build premium-quality garden rooms that combine craftsmanship, durability, and style — all at the most competitive prices in the UK.
We’re proud to be 5-star rated by our customers for our exceptional quality, service, and value. And if you’d like to see the craftsmanship for yourself, visit our indoor showroom to experience the superior design and finish of our garden rooms in person.
Each timber building is tailored to its purpose and position. From compact garden rooms to larger studios with multiple zones, we help you plan a layout that matches how you’ll use the space. You can choose from a variety of rooflines, external finishes and internal features to suit both your garden and your taste. Whether you want a sleek modern look or a more traditional timber cabin feel, we’ll help bring it to life with precision and care.

From narrow side returns to generous plots, we work to maximise the space. Whether you need a single-room setup or something with storage and zoned areas, we create layouts that support your goals.

Select the external cladding, roof shape, flooring and internal wall treatments that match your preferred style. We can help you find the right balance between design and function.

Add ventilation, acoustic panels, underfloor heating or solar integration. We tailor the building’s features to your daily use, climate needs and personal preferences.

Choose from sliding, bifold, or French doors, along with glazed or frosted windows to balance natural light and privacy. Triple glazing is also available for improved insulation.

Timber buildings are made to last. With proper treatment and build quality, they’ll provide many years of comfortable use, even in the challenging UK climate. Our structures are designed to be breathable and weatherproof, with every detail built to support everyday performance. These buildings are also easy to maintain with routine care and offer a high return on value over time, making them ideal for those wanting lasting results.

Timber’s natural properties help regulate temperature and humidity. When paired with multi-layer insulation, this creates a balanced indoor climate that feels comfortable all year.

We use high-quality cladding treated against rot, decay and insect damage. You can oil or stain the wood to maintain its colour or let it fade into a rustic grey.

Timber frames are strong, flexible and long-lasting. Combined with durable roofing and sealed joins, the entire building is protected from moisture and movement.

Every structure is built in our Telford workshop under strict quality control. We use expert joinery methods and seasoned timber to ensure every part fits and functions properly.

We’ve refined our process to make designing and installing a timber garden building as smooth as possible. Our team supports you through every stage, offering expert advice, clear timelines and consistent communication. Because we build everything ourselves and don’t rely on subcontractors, we’re able to deliver both quality and peace of mind from first conversation to final installation.
We discuss how you want to use the building, what size works for your site, and any style or functional preferences. This helps shape the design before we move to pricing.
We’ll produce a detailed quote outlining every included item, material and feature. You’ll know exactly what’s in your build with no hidden charges.
We manufacture the frame, cladding and joinery in our UK workshop, prepping each component for a clean and accurate on-site assembly.
Our in-house team handles the final assembly, making sure everything is weather-sealed, connected and ready to use. Most installs are complete in a matter of days.

Really happy with our garden room… From the first visit to the showroom, to the final handing over of the keys.
Sales team and build team were professional and friendly. Always responded quickly to any queries and changes we wanted.
Left the site clean tidy on completion.
The room is exactly as imagined and can’t wait to start using it. Sure to add value to our property.

From ordering through to delivery the service was faultless. The Ashbourne garden room is well designed and solidly constructed. Communication from the Noah team was excellent with lots of updates and advice. The fitters arrived spot on time and worked hard to complete the installation, were very friendly and conscientious. They left the room and surrounding area spotless. Would not hesitate to recommend Noah to anyone considering getting a garden room from them.

I purchased a Mylor composite garden office from Noah garden rooms. Initially my partner and I were trepidatious about the base and delivery and the length of our garden as the stipulations by Noah were quite specific and our garden was quite away from the main road. I sent a video and multiple pictures of the site and then the base after it had been constructed, all the while liaising with Megan and Tilly at customer services to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of the delivery the lads turned up nice and early and began work straight away. They didn’t mention how far away the site was or that we had to help because of the distance, just began work on the office. Unlike some workmen who spend all their time having lunch in their van these boys worked hard and for the two days kept me upto date as they went. I’m very happy with the office itself and can understand why the specifications are so specific. It’s been a month now and I love it, I spend a lot of time in there and have now made half into a library. Would recommend Noah to anybody who listened.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Really knowledgeable staff and so so helpful. Megan was so patient in answering all of my ridiculous questions. I have never ordered anything like this before, but the process was so easy and I felt very confident in what I was ordering as the website is really easy to navigate with really helpful information. The room was delivered and erected seamlessly with really polite, knowledgeable and courteous workmen. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I absolutely love my garden room – everything is exactly as I ordered and it looks fantastic. All of my expectations have been exceeded. I can’t believe what an easy and calm process it was from start to finish. Thank you so much.

In most cases, garden rooms fall under permitted development rights, meaning you won’t usually need planning consent. However, factors such as overall size, how close the building is to boundaries or the way you plan to use the space can influence whether approval is required.
As a general rule, if your structure is under 2.5 m in height and positioned within your back garden, it will typically meet permitted development guidelines. Larger footprints, business-use studios or buildings installed in conservation areas may still require planning checks, so it’s worth confirming the details with your local authority.
We’ve put together a clear guide outlining the key requirements, exemptions and how to ensure your project stays compliant.

We have a lovely summer house from Noah that we're using as an office and it was installed in less than 2 hours. Happy with the product and service.Posted on Sarah Mirza30 May 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Show room is lovely, well worth visiting. The products are amazing, we bought a very large summer house and the total cost and value for money compared to other companies were second to none. The only issue which isn’t asked at point of sale which I have fed back is access to the garden where the product is going. Before purchasing make sure you have this conversation, we were a linked detached with only access to the garden through the garage which later cost us £300 to have to have the panels built to size to fit through the garage door and a section built a lot smaller. That being said the two guys that came to fit Paul being one, well they deserve 5* just on their own. We have never met two more, helpful, pleasant guys ever. These two are a real asset and credit to you.
Yes. With treated timber, weatherproof detailing and regular care, these structures offer long-term strength and performance.
We use pressure-treated softwood or engineered timber depending on the design. All materials are chosen for their strength, thermal properties and visual appeal.
It depends on the finish. Most oils or stains need reapplying every 2 to 5 years to maintain colour and protection.
Timber offers natural warmth, character and breathability. Composite is lower maintenance, but timber provides a more tactile, authentic feel.
Yes. We insulate the floor, walls and roof to ensure comfort year-round, supported by the natural insulating properties of wood.
With proper care, they can last 25 to 40 years or more. Maintenance is minimal but important to ensure long-term performance.
Yes. Timber is renewable, biodegradable and can be sustainably sourced. We use FSC-certified wood wherever possible.
Not always. Depending on the soil and site, we may recommend pad foundations or ground screws. We’ll advise based on your setup.
