Year-Round Comfort, Right in Your Garden

Standard sheds often struggle in the winter and overheat in the summer. Insulated garden workshops solve this problem with high-performance thermal panels, breathable membranes, and airtight construction. Designed for consistent temperature control and dryness, they allow you to use your space more often for tasks ranging from remote office work to heavy-duty woodwork. If you’re serious about comfort and protecting your equipment, insulation is an essential investment.

At Noah, we design and build all our workshops in the UK using premium materials. Each one is handcrafted to your specific size, layout, and finish preferences.

  • Full insulation for walls, roof, and floor as standard
  • Prevents mould, condensation, and extreme temperature swings
  • Custom internal layouts for workbenches, desks, or storage racks
  • Designed to accept mains electrics, lighting, and heating
  • Long-lasting structure with low maintenance requirements

01.

Choose Your Roof Type

Apex roofs offer extra headroom and a traditional profile, while Pent roofs provide a modern look and are often better for drainage when positioned near garden boundaries.

02.

Select Your Insulation Level

We offer full cavity-fill, rigid board, or foil-backed insulation depending on your specific thermal requirements. All builds include a breathable membrane to ensure the timber stays healthy and dry.

03.

Configure Windows and Doors

Choose from double-glazed UPVC windows, fixed panes, or skylights. We offer both side and front access doors with options for high-security locks and privacy glazing.

04.

Add Your Internal Setup

We pre-plan layouts to accommodate heavy-duty tool walls, bespoke workbenches, and strategically placed power sockets. Floors can be reinforced to support heavy machinery.

Strong Timber Frames and Thermal Panels That Work

Noah workshops are built using robust timber frames and advanced insulation. Insulation isn’t an afterthought at Noah—it is integrated into the structural design. This means fewer drafts, increased acoustic dampening, and significantly lower energy use. If you are storing sensitive electronics or high-value metal tools, this stable environment is exactly what you need.

Durable Construction

Solid Timber Frames and Roof Trusses

We use pressure-treated timber joists and trusses to maintain structural integrity and prevent sagging. Our frames are engineered to match the load-bearing demands of your chosen size.

Year-Round Insulation

Integrated Wall and Floor Insulation

Insulated boards are built directly into the panels. Sealed joints and vapour barriers act as a shield against damp, protecting both the building and your belongings.

Built-In Security

Glazing and Ventilation Control

All windows feature double glazing as standard. We incorporate discreet trickle vents to maintain air quality and manage humidity without compromising the thermal envelope.

Finishes That Last

Our external cladding is UV resistant and weather-treated. You can choose from traditional timber, premium cedar, or contemporary low-maintenance composite finishes.

The team from Noah Garden Rooms were absolutely first class. They arrived on time, were friendly, efficient and got straight on with the job. The building itself is superb quality and construction, and I could not be more pleased.

— Richard Lazenby

The sales team were very helpful at the start and made adding optional extras to the garden room very easy. The quality of the garden room is excellent and the installation team were great. They arrived on time, were friendly, talked me through the process and completed the installation to a high standard.

— Mark Carter-Morris

I cannot fault Noah Garden Rooms. From the first contact with Tilly through to delivery and assembly by Harry and Mat, the whole process was faultless, professional and friendly. I would have no problem using Noah again and would happily recommend them to anyone planning a new garden building.

— Alan Yates

Overall, Noah Garden Rooms have been fabulous. We were impressed with how much scope there was to personalise the build, including the style and location of the window. Installation was incredibly smooth and impressive, with the team arriving early and completing our 8ft x 8ft garden room by the end of the day. The room looks fantastic and we cannot wait to use it. We will be happy to recommend Noah Garden Rooms to anyone who asks.

— Helen Strother

The team took care of everything from start to finish and the build went very smoothly. The team showed real care throughout, and the electrician explained everything clearly. The garden pod is now up and running with the bar installed and the TV up. Everyone likes what has been done.

— William Barlow

I was a little nervous about ordering from a company I did not know much about, but after doing plenty of research I am so glad I chose Noah Garden Rooms. The Otley Deluxe is fantastic, the reinforced floor feels really solid and the room looks great. The fitters, John and Darren, were friendly, skilled and efficient, and I have already used the garden room lots. I would happily recommend Noah Garden Rooms and would use them again in the future.

Do You Need Planning Permission for an Insulated Workshop?

In most cases, you won’t need planning permission if the workshop stays under 2.5 m high and is not used as a residential living space. If the building is within 2 m of a boundary, height limits are particularly important to follow.

However, specific rules apply in Conservation Areas or for buildings with very large footprints. We can adapt our designs to help ensure your build meets permitted development criteria. Read our full Planning Guide for more information.
