Create a Timber Garden Room That Matches Your Style

A timber garden room should suit your garden and your goals. That’s why we build each one around the way you want to live. From frame to finish, every detail can be adapted to your preferences. Whether you’re after a traditional-style cabin or a modern layout with a rustic twist, we’ll help shape a space that feels personal and practical. The result is a structure that looks right and works well.

01.

Size & Layout

Timber rooms can be built in a wide range of sizes, from compact hideaways to large multi-use rooms. Whether you need a one-person office or a space to host guests, we help shape the internal flow.

02.

Exterior & Finish

Choose from horizontal or vertical timber cladding with natural or stained finishes. Add roof trims, decking or overhangs for extra character and visual detail.

03.

Comfort Options

Add heating, air vents, double insulation or acoustic upgrades. These extras help make timber rooms as comfortable in December as they are in July.

04.

Glazing & Doors

From classic wooden French doors to large-pane glazing, customise your windows and doors to enhance light, access and privacy.

Built to Last, Finished with Craftsmanship

Our timber garden rooms are designed for durability and daily use. We select quality softwoods, treat all timber to resist rot and install with solid joinery for long-lasting performance. These rooms don’t just look good in the short term, they’re built to age gracefully. The materials we use provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, helping you stay comfortable all year.

Durable Construction

Treated Timber Cladding

We use pressure-treated timber to guard against decay, insects and moisture. With regular maintenance, your cladding stays strong and attractive for decades.

Year-Round Insulation

Insulated Timber Panels

Walls, floors and roofs include breathable layers of insulation that help control temperature and reduce heat loss. Ideal for daily use through all four seasons.

Built-In Security

Secure Weather Protection

Timber rooms are finished with quality seals, roofing membranes and protected joints. This keeps wind and rain out while extending the life of the structure.

Skilled UK Joinery

Each room is handcrafted in our Telford workshop using traditional joinery techniques. From framework to finishing, every detail reflects care, strength and pride.

Really happy with our garden room… From the first visit to the showroom, to the final handing over of the keys.
Sales team and build team were professional and friendly. Always responded quickly to any queries and changes we wanted.
Left the site clean tidy on completion.
The room is exactly as imagined and can’t wait to start using it. Sure to add value to our property.

From ordering through to delivery the service was faultless. The Ashbourne garden room is well designed and solidly constructed. Communication from the Noah team was excellent with lots of updates and advice. The fitters arrived spot on time and worked hard to complete the installation, were very friendly and conscientious. They left the room and surrounding area spotless. Would not hesitate to recommend Noah to anyone considering getting a garden room from them.

I purchased a Mylor composite garden office from Noah garden rooms. Initially my partner and I were trepidatious about the base and delivery and the length of our garden as the stipulations by Noah were quite specific and our garden was quite away from the main road. I sent a video and multiple pictures of the site and then the base after it had been constructed, all the while liaising with Megan and Tilly at customer services to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of the delivery the lads turned up nice and early and began work straight away. They didn’t mention how far away the site was or that we had to help because of the distance, just began work on the office. Unlike some workmen who spend all their time having lunch in their van these boys worked hard and for the two days kept me upto date as they went. I’m very happy with the office itself and can understand why the specifications are so specific. It’s been a month now and I love it, I spend a lot of time in there and have now made half into a library. Would recommend Noah to anybody who listened.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Really knowledgeable staff and so so helpful. Megan was so patient in answering all of my ridiculous questions. I have never ordered anything like this before, but the process was so easy and I felt very confident in what I was ordering as the website is really easy to navigate with really helpful information. The room was delivered and erected seamlessly with really polite, knowledgeable and courteous workmen. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I absolutely love my garden room – everything is exactly as I ordered and it looks fantastic. All of my expectations have been exceeded. I can’t believe what an easy and calm process it was from start to finish. Thank you so much.

Do You Need Planning Permission for a Timber Garden Room?

In most cases, garden rooms fall under permitted development rights, meaning you won’t usually need planning consent. However, factors such as overall size, how close the building is to boundaries, or the way you plan to use the space can influence whether approval is required.

As a general rule, if your structure is under 2.5 m in height and positioned within your back garden, it will typically meet permitted development guidelines. Larger footprints, business-use studios or buildings installed in conservation areas may still require planning checks, so it’s worth confirming the details with your local authority.

We’ve put together a clear guide outlining the key requirements, exemptions and how to ensure your project stays compliant.
